So, wow, yeah, this sucks, huh? The "new" deviantart is here, and I am firmly in the "hate it" crowd. It's so confusing/annoying to navigate, and I feel like this "sleek" new design is just too distracting and overwhelms the art. I mean, the old site design was ugly as sin, but it got the job done and didn't take away from the art I was looking at. I'm going to *try* to stick it out for a bit. Maybe I'll get used to it, or, better yet, maybe there will be enough of a backlash that they go back to letting us decide how we want to view the site. But in the meantime, for those of you that like my art but just can't tolerate Eclipse, I figured I'd let you know where else you can find me.
Patreon: Yeah, of course I gotta plug that first. lol But this is the first place my art goes. Patreons get to help decide what I draw with monthly polls, they see everything I do at least a week in advance, and I also have tiers for NSFW art that you won't see anywhere else. I try to keep my rates reasonable - the main tier is $1/month and the NSFW stuff is $3/month. The most expensive it gets is only $5 and $6 a month for physical rewards. Not a bad deal, if I may say so myself.
Facebook: If you can't/don't want to pay, this is the next best option. I keep fairly active on here and most of my SFW art ends up here eventually.
Twitter and Instagram: I'll admit, I don't do a very good job keeping up with these. I'm trying to get better at that, especially with DA crapping the bed and everyone looking for a way out. Still, don't be surprised if I go weeks or even months forgetting to post anything there.
YouTube and Twitch: Not galleries, I know, but I use both for art related stuff. I post timelapse videos to YouTube from time to time, and I livestream drawing on Twitch usually on Tuesdays from 6-8 eastern time. I'm still a bit new to the whole streaming thing, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it and we've had some pretty fun chats come up as I show off my process.
That's about it for now. I technically have a personal site, but it's not really set up yet. I'm also considering other social sites and whatnot. Pillowfort sounds interesting, and I might check that out eventually if I can ever secure an invite. If you know of any other half way decent alternatives to DA, feel free to let me know in the comments. And wherever you all end up and however Deviant Art moves forward, I want to thank you all for being a fan of my art. The love and support I've gotten over the years has meant everything, and it's helped push me forward in both improving my skills and advancing my career as an artist. I hope you'll continue to stick with me in one way or another wherever the path takes us!
