Ghost in the Shell

I've been watching Ghost in the Shell a lot lately, so naturally I had to draw it. I've also been wanting to build up some more anime-inspired art in my gallery. (I want to start doing anime cons!)

This was a really fun one. It's my first full color piece of the new year, so it was nice getting back into it after the crazy Christmas rush at work. I'm also particularly happy with how the colors turned out on this one. I made a few minor tweaks to how I usually do things, and I think they paid off in a fairly big way. And, finally, I had a lot of fun creating the holograms. Special effects like that are always fun to do because they give you the most latitude to play around and try new/different things. And in this case, I think they really tie the whole thing together.
