Countdown to RitD! Day Twelve: Henchmen

(Wanted to title it "Cleaners & Monsters" but a) too long if I use "and" b) dA can't handle a "&" in the title. Seriously?)

The monster design in Rainbow was just fantastic. I've drawn the Cleaners a few times, but this was my first time drawing the monsters and it was actually a blast. All the little details, like the scales on the bottom dude, are so much fun to draw. (Flatting and coloring, slightly more difficult. lol)

And a bit of a confession - I think the Cleaners are cute. I know they're suppose to be big and scary, and within the context of the story, they are. But something about their long, droopy heads reminds me of one of my family's dogs, our droopy dachshund Oliver. So even as they're reigning their destruction, I just want to hug them and make sure they're getting their flea medicine so they'll stop scratching so much. (Yeah, sometimes I think there's something wrong with my brain!)
