Caricature Practice

Okay, so a while back, a couple of my supervisors at work got the idea of me doing caricatures at this special event thing that the store was doing. I was pretty flattered that they were acknowledging me as an artist and complimenting me, not to mention I'm kind of a people-pleaser, so I said sure. The only problem is that I actually have very limited experience doing caricature style. I've played with it a little and I've studied it a bit in an effort to improve my likenesses, but once the high of 'people being nice to me' (not only that, but 'people AT WORK being nice to me') wore off, I started to freak out a little.

So, I did a bunch of practice sketches of friends and celebrities. The above is one of my better efforts of Joel Robinson (Mystery Science Theater 3000), Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who), and Jennifer Lawrence (the Hunger Games). I hadn't planned on really sharing these, but I'm actually quite happy with how Capaldi turned out.
